Execution mode options#
Starburst Enterprise offers two options to enhance query execution on your cluster: Fault tolerant and Accelerated.
Note
You cannot enable Fault tolerant and Accelerated execution modes simultaneously.

Fault tolerant execution#
Fault tolerant execution (FTE) allows a cluster to retry queries or parts of query processing in the event of failures, without having to start the whole query from the beginning. For more information, see Fault tolerant execution.
Accelerated execution#
Enabling Starburst Warp Speed allows smart indexing and caching to accelerate query performance. For more information, see Starburst Warp Speed.
You can take advantage of these performance improvements by enabling Starburst Warp Speed on your cluster to improve data access with select catalogs.
