Release 378-e STS (2 May 2022)

Starburst Enterprise platform (SEP) 378-e is the follow up release to the 377-e version. It includes all improvements from the following Trino project release:

• Trino 378

This release is a short term support (STS) release.

Breaking changes

• Require value for the shared secret configuration for internal communication when any authentication is enabled.

General

• Add Markdown support in data products for description and comments.

• Improve audit log to display proper information about deleted events.

Security

• Synchronize EXTERNAL Ranger groups only when using ranger.user-group-source=STARBURST.

Stargate

• Improve performance of queries involving complex predicates.

Teradata connector

• Improve predicate pushdown for WHERE clauses.
