Release 340-e STS (17 Aug 2020)

Starburst Enterprise Presto 340-e is the follow up release to the 339-e version. It includes all improvements from the following Presto project releases:

• Presto 340

This release is a short term support (STS) release.

Changes

• Require a license for IBM Cloud Object Storage support for the Hive connector

• Reduce the size of the RPM archive from 2GB to approx. 800MB

• Support access denial for system information with catalogs using the Hive connector

• Remove the deprecated Java table operator from the Teradata Direct connector

• Improve timestamp handling in Starburst IBM Db2 connector and Starburst Teradata connectors

• Support CREATE ROLE, DROP ROLE, SHOW GRANT and related statement for Ranger policy management with SQL

• Update Snowflake JDBC driver

• Add dynamic filter file pruning for the Starburst Delta Lake connector
