Starburst Cached Views

Starburst Cached Views is a collection of performance features for Starburst Enterprise platform (SEP):

• Support for creating and automatically refreshing materialized views in the Starburst Hive connector can provide cached queries results in a separate storage table for high performance data access.

• Table scan redirection allows read operations in a source catalog to be transparently replaced by reading the data from another catalog, the target catalog.

• Numerous connectors include extensions to support table scan redirection.

• The Cache service manages the configuration and synchronization of the source and target catalogs and materialized views.

• The Cache service CLI provides an easy management interface for the cache service as a command line tool.
