SQL overview #

After access to a data source is configured in a catalog and the catalog is added to a cluster, you can issue SQL queries against it using the SQL syntax supported by Trino:

• SQL language
  • SQL statement support
  • Data types
• SQL statement syntax
• Functions and operators
  • Alphabetical list
  • Topic-based list
• SQL user-defined functions

The Great Lakes connectivity page describes Galaxy’s support for object storage data sources, and includes format-specific SQL language information for the supported table formats.

Use Galaxy’s query editor or other client tools of choice to submit your queries.
